A gentleman brought us this red leather sofa to reupholster. It had been in his family for many years. He wanted it reupholstered in red leather, holding true to its original look.

This cabinet was full of old baby bottles and unused, miscellaneous infant stuff. The cleaning and organizing made room for storing our dinnerware. There's even room for more!

Refinished the dresser to update the look. So much better!

Growing up, I was active and never thought about exercise. But when my son was in high school and I joked about still trying to lose the "baby weight", I knew I had to do something! I exercised and dieted, exercised and dieted, and exercised and dieted many different times. I was definitely a yo-yo dieter and exerciser!

Many diets later and more exercise, I gave up. What did it matter? I had a husband who loved me. I knew my clothes were tight and I was buying my clothes at "big" ladies stores; it was NOT what I wanted, but it was my reality. I was overweight, but I "carried my weight well."

My doctor told me my blood pressure was getting higher and I needed to exercise. There are major health conditions in my family - diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. I saw my future if I didn’t get my health under control. I KNEW what I HAD to do – I just didn’t.

I have been a member of Lucille Roberts for almost four years. I was a serial exerciser. I would go all out for a month or two and then life would get in the way or my motivation would dwindle and I would stop. Then I would start going again after 6 months or so and do it all over again. My motivation and commitment to exercising for the right reasons was never in my head. But last winter, I was wondering how much my cat weighed. So I weighed myself with her and then without. Boy was I shocked!! I was 200-pounds! I knew what I had to do.

I recommitted myself to Lucille Roberts and a healthy diet in January. I had to get myself – and my life – under control. In six months I have lost 40 pounds! I feel WONDERFUL!! I have made Lucille Roberts a commitment to ME along with a sensible diet. I go to the gym almost every day. I work out on the elliptical and use the free weights. Since I can’t get to the gym for the scheduled classes I use the TV and DVD player and do a step aerobic routine on DVD and have my own "private class."

I never knew that exercise high people talk about. I went because it was what I was “supposed to do” not what I wanted. Now I look forward to going or even doing something on my own at home. I feel refreshed and alert when I finish and I miss my workout when I can’t make to the gym or workout. Now I know that feeling and it really has become addictive!

Thanks to Lucille Roberts I don’t dread going to the gym. I look forward to my workouts and have made friends that remind me how important it is to keep coming. Lucille Roberts is the BEST “women’s” gym there is! I sing the praises of Lucille Roberts to everyone that asks what gym I go to.

-did it all through CS3. I was proud of myself. Honestly, I am intimidated by the software. I usually use a different software when it comes to editing and graphics design.

-cloning, erasing, dodging, sponging

-learning one step at a time and the world of internet provides it all :)

Cooked fries in it Saturday night just because we could! Exhaust hood being installed tonight.

I began my struggle with weight loss in high school. My eating habits were changing for the worse and my daily activity was minimal. I played sports but eating out everyday and eating late at night was my worst enemy. By the time I hit college instead of my freshman 15, it was actually freshman 30! By the time I graduated in 2003, I weighed in at 227lbs. At 5'3", this was a hazard to my health and I knew I had to do something about it. I went to the doctor and I found out I was borderline diabetic at 22 years old. This just broke my heart and pushed me to join a gym.

I looked into several gyms and found Lucille Roberts. Once I visited I knew it was the one for me. I wanted an all women gym where I can be comfortable and not be self conscious of my body. Starting a whole workout regimen and diet was something totally new to me. I began working out and with the help of Lucille Robert's trained staff they taught me how to eat and what to eat, how to workout and what exercises I was able to do. I followed their advice and soon the weight was flying off. To my surprise, it was finally working. After trying so many crash diets, TV diets, over the counter weight loss supplements I knew this was the only way to lose the weight.

I started off being a size 18 and now in 2009 I am a size 6. I did it and without Lucille Roberts I wouldn't have been able to lose 85lbs!! I couldn’t be happier and if I keep working hard I'll be beach ready for my destination wedding in Jamaica!

Thank you !! You have changed my life!!!

Some Lightroom presets applied, then I ran the Orton Effect in Photoshop.

Here you can see the difference between the original photo of "Auðbjörg HU6" and the manipulated version done in Photoshop. The one on the left is the original :D (not that funny.. I know)

A beautiful before and after blog post. This is so inspirational.

The recent changes on 20th Avenue NW demonstrate how SDOT is better supporting cycling while still addressing the needs of drivers. As part of Bike Master Plan implementation, we removed the center turn lane to install bike lanes while also preserving on-street parking. These bike facilities run for a half mile in both directions on 20th Avenue NW from Market Street to NW 65th Street.

Why this approach? 20th Avenue NW carries a low volume of traffic (fewer than 7,500 vehicles daily at its busiest point) and our counts show a relatively small number of turning movements. This provides an opportunity to improve bicycle access along the street without affecting vehicular traffic flow, inhibiting access to residential side streets or removing parking.

The best part is that the removal of the center turn lane on 20th Avenue NW doesn’t undercut roadway safety. The road still features only one travel lane in each direction, so traffic will continue to move at the pace of the slowest car. Given the low traffic volumes and adherence to the speed limit, motorists have sufficient gaps to turn left against oncoming traffic.

touch up tools tips and tricks. Using airbrush to even out skin tone and blemishes on the strong setting at 100% (you can also shape eyebrows and hairlines and get rid of pesky wispy hairs this way. Zoom in if you need to, but make sure that you leave a small crease above the eye itself so that there is a lid. You can remove crows feet, wrinkles, and also large pores. After you are done with this, use your eye bright to add some brightness to the eyes (only the iris). Add other effects to achieve the coloration that you want. Now you can go back and add eye bright again over the entire picture to add definition and some sparkle to it (when used with airbrush, it will sometimes add some sparkle to your pic). Go over it a second time with eye bright but only over the lips, eyes and eyebrows, use the fade slider to find the desired brightness. If you need to use it again, go ahead, but be careful with the eyes, they could start looking unnatural.

With practice and combination of these tools, you could find some more fun things to do with them. But so far, airbrush and eyebright are two of the best tools, in my opinion. I love that with the combination of them, you can create definition, shadows, the illusion of makeup. The possibilities are endless.

Have fun!
