I finally created a Before and After of this photo. The original and retouched photos were uploaded in April of 2007. You can see them by clicking on the set - Pretty b-ran Photoshop fun.

I saw this post on June 21, '06. I love manipulating photos. Just for fun I adjusted the color. Then couldn't stop and continued on with the retouching.

What did I do? I used a little digital powder to take those shiny spots off his forehead, the tip of his nose and that little shine on his chin, where the color blew out completely. I also cleared up the rest of the tiny blemishes, smoothed out the skin tone. I hope I didn't remove any freckles! I didn't want to change him.

Then I brought a little more red back into the photo. Also tightened up the levels for a better contrast and bumped up the color just a bit to brighten up his shirt and the couch. I even straightened the lampshade. hahaha

There is another photo in the set that was just for fun. I gave him a little plastic surgery. Just a bit of a brow lift. I just wanted to see if I could do it.

I showed it to Brandon in a private set and he agreed to let me show my work on this stream.

I just do this for fun. Like some people do jigsaw puzzles. He was such a handsome guy, I thought it would be fun to take what was a good photo and try to make it better.

New raised bed and utility landing added to the back yard. Temporary retaining wall will be replaced with a perminant one later.

Passport photos taken before trip abroad. The first is from my study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The second is for my upcoming move to Sydney, Australia. If nothing else, passport photo technology has gotten a lot better.

I am setting out on a trip that should get me to Sydney by the 14th of July. Stay tuned.

I should have uploaded this a long time ago. This is from August 28th 2006. The day I decided to cut my hair. I donated 24 inches to "Locks of Love" which is a non-profit organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair from illness or chemo therapy etc. I was always afraid I would regret cutting it, but I never have, and moreover, I've never even missed it. Having short hair is much easier.

From the shoot for Tallulah. I can't decide if i like this or not... i was bored.

Not too sure which piece of art work we like better. Why is this such a hard choice? I think I may hang this one in the baby's room and paint the walls a gray-blue.

No longer covered in that shabby chic country style fabric, I love this chair reupholstered in imperial wine. The cream and burgundy really play off of each other. Black accessories look especially nice on this chair.

The picture on the left was taken in February of 2007. Christopher was away on duty in South Dakota, and it was just Eleanore and I by ourselves for the month. A friend took this picture of us on a visit to the zoo. When I saw how big I looked, I asked her to take another one. At that moment I realized that there was nothing wrong with the camera, or my angle. I was really that big. I was 238 pounds.

The picture on the left was taken in September of 2009, almost 9 months after having my 2nd child. I changed the way I ate, smaller portions. I started working out. I don't deny myself sugar, I actually probably eat too much of it. I said goodbye to my scale (my husband broke it, actually), and I'm currently training to run a 5k. I've lost 50 pounds, I now weigh 188. I did my BMI for the first time in months, and I'm no longer considered "obese".

I'm still working on being healthy, for myself and for my family. Hopefully this isn't the end of the weight loss road.

The same car summer of 1999, after I rolled it 1.5 times on a dirt road in the middle of Nowhere, Colorado. No seriously, if you can find Lost Valley Ranch on Google Earth, that's where I was.

And yes, you read that correctly - I had to unbuckle myself upside down. I creep on dirt roads after that little catastrophe.

This is my OHIP card - Ontario Health Insurance Plan card. The first one is three months after I got here and the most recent one was taken in December. I'm really amazed how much weight has come off.

I haven't really been dieting, I've been taking long walks and working out in a gym.

Before & After Photo's taken from Princess Street looking towards St Martins House. Top Picture taken in August 2007, bottom taken November 2007, St Martins House was a former Health Authority building which had being derlict for at least 10 years, It was demolished to make way for a new Shopping Complex. Lots of other nearby builing are also set to be demolished for this project.

The fridge is making ice! We're starting to believe there's an end in sight...

My name is Gina and I am 27 years old.

I so proud to say that I am down 5 dress sizes and lost over 40lbs!!! After putting on a tremendous amount of weight on my small 5'3 frame, I finally got to the point where I had to do something about it.

Like so many people out there I vowed on December 31, 2007 that my New Year’s Resolution for 2008 would be to join a gym, get healthier, and lose weight.

So I joined Lucille Roberts on January 2, 2008 and started my weight loss journey.

I signed up for the gold card and loved the fact that I could go to a Lucille Robert's location near my home (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) and by my job (Wall Street, NYC). No room for excuses!!!

I enjoyed taking all the different classes (especially the cardio kickboxing), and I looked forward to the pumped-up high energetic instructors!! I was also using the treadmill and elliptical machines to burn mega calories whenever I didn't make the classes.

Lucille Roberts in combination with a healthy diet has allowed me to totally change my lifestyle. I am not on a so-called "diet". I have adapted a new way of eating, thinking and living and I love it!

I enjoy working out and feel so much healthier and confident now that I have lost all this weight.

To anyone one else out there who is down about their weight, or maybe isn't seeing results as quickly as they'd like, just know that "slow and steady always wins the race!"

You can do it!

We finished off assembling everything in the huge Ikea box pile we had a week ago.

Our new sink is small dog swimming pool sized.

A gentleman brought us this red leather sofa to reupholster. It had been in his family for many years. He wanted it reupholstered in red leather, holding true to its original look.
