It's hard to stop photographing bees once you start. Chasing one bee after another, hoping this time you'll get a good shot, that the bee won't fly away too soon.

Spring day around WI

This was a tricky shot to post process as it was quite over exposed (spot metering wrongly chosen) but the beauty of shooting in raw enables you to salvage a shot which still has nice elements in it such as a good focus on the eye whilst having nice shallow DOF. Not amazing but a worthwhile exercise for me :) Hope it's worth a quick glance. I like how the background and even the flower sort of looks like its a watercolour painting.

this bee seemed a bit different then others. I've never noticed one with this orange colour on its head before.

Quite a few of these bees, they are very dark in colour and have this orange head but on closer inspection i think it could be pollen after all
