Nearing the end of our evening, Jaedyn's eyes were starting to show how long her day was... but she was having fun and wanted to keep shooting.
Hard to tell but the bottom is scalloped with a tiny lace border. This is from a quite old bedsheet that had worn and ripped down the center. I think my mom gave me this one and the lace looks hand done, so it must have come through the family at some point.
Bodice was sketched directly onto the fabric by laying down one of her tshirts and then adding extra for seam allowance. Bodice is lined with the same fabric as the skirt, I'd like to thank my recent princess dress halloween project for figuring out how to make a lined bodice. It is so soft! I sewed french seams at the shoulders (next time I'll make an invisible seam, but I forgot to stitch the shoulders before putting the lining and the outside together) but didn't have time to french the skirt back seam or the bodice/skirt seam, which is a bit bulky. Maybe I can french the waist seam but then cover it with some of the pink fabric? Nightgowns MUST be comfy, no scratchy bits allowed.
When she walks up the stairs wearing this she hikes up the hem all the way to her butt "so I don't trip." Very adorable.

I've been meaning to do this for some time, and thought I'd test out Ted's 30cm x 20cm print option. They've come out pretty well, though I'll still use PhotoKing for the good ones.
Anyhow, got 5 frames atm from IKEA - I'll grab another 5 in a while when I'm feeling wealthy again (unless someone knows elsewhere that's cheap). Also need some similar frames (cheap) to put some screenprint posters in (got three now and they've *got* to go somewhere!)
I have no tumble dryer in my flat, so to dry the bed sheets we have to drape them over three chairs. Instant cat playhouse!

Friends of mine wanted some picture made for a Birthday present for their mother.
Using a roll of Savage Super White background paper I was having issues getting the background color the way I wanted it. I ended up putting the SB-600 w/Honl Gel BEHIND the paper and shooting through it. The tough part was getting the color burst where I wanted it in relation to the subject.
