I was chatting with this guy about beards and how so many of the Rev War reenactors wear them and how they are most assuredly not authentic to the time period (farby). And how I enjoy the occasional angry comment from someone about how he's not taking it seriously enough to be clean shaven. We'll see if we get one on this shot.
This kind sir also suggested I photograph this guy who WAS authentic.

And I started an album just to collect Rev War guys with beards.

Metal Beard the master builder from the Lego Movie. We saw it on the 14th and spent the rest of the weekend building... Everything! My house is now filled with TLM mocs but this was my favourite. He was built from memory, a picture in the random figure bags and with some creative licence! We didn't really have the parts to make his foot properly so it looks as though he stamped on a boat and it stuck.
He's pretty sturdy and has stood up to a week of play without losing that shark too often...
This might inspire me to try some steampunk builds in the future.
