The last gasp of the big beard. I'm liking the big mustache that resulted from trimming. I may grow the beard for Christmas.

At its wooliest. When I get to the point where I have to comb and style it, I break down and trim it.
This big painted face was on the side of a building in Corbin facing an alley off a side street. I don't know what this is supposed to mean.
I can only remember ever knowing exactly one person from Corbin, a kid at the University of Kentucky who was a year or two older than me that I called "Kigstee," because that was what his UK computer account email looked like. I didn't know him well and only talked to him in person maybe one time, as he and I spent several months competing for the affections of a particular girl. I remember, he and the girl both really liked Paul Simon music, and they liked to recite poetry at each other as if they were New York City intellectuals palling around with Ginsberg and Burroughs in 1962. This is how I got into Paul Simon.
Kigstee was an odd duck, and he wasn't really the type of guy you'd expect to come from Corbin. I'll bet he would have liked this Duck Beard face.

A portrait to commemorate Jay's beard in its entirety, it had a dramatic trim the morning after and is now recuperating in an undisclosed location.
