Metal Beard the master builder from the Lego Movie. We saw it on the 14th and spent the rest of the weekend building... Everything! My house is now filled with TLM mocs but this was my favourite. He was built from memory, a picture in the random figure bags and with some creative licence! We didn't really have the parts to make his foot properly so it looks as though he stamped on a boat and it stuck.
He's pretty sturdy and has stood up to a week of play without losing that shark too often...
This might inspire me to try some steampunk builds in the future.
Beard is a bit biblical and I think the shirt has a bit of Pat Butcher about it, but I think I passed muster for dinner with a couple of dear friends.
This picture is of a sign at Pure Water talking about Chris Beard, the coach of the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Team. The team had their best season ever this year!
Strobist: Shoot-thru umbrella on axis behind me for fill and beauty dish just off axis camera right as key.
Portrait revisted. This man sat on a bench at the street Andra Långgatan. I quickly snapped a photo before he saw me.
Another from 'last days of the short-lived beard' set.
Apparently, my darling wife thinks that I look like a thug in this one. Which considering I was told that in this one I looked like a goblin, is an improvement in my books. I'm loving the soft-yet-restricted light that you can create indoors with a recessed softbox. After a year or two of wondering why the entire room lights up when ever I flash indoors with an umbrella, it's a revelation.
Strobist: SB28 (1/8) in 28" Apollo level with me an hard right. Bare SB26 firing on optical slave camera left (1/32) zoomed in to 85mm and feathered in front of me so I didn't get the full force of the beam.

An interesting gentleman relaxing on the banks of the Dal Lake who was kind enough to let me take his picture.
