I met a couple in the market and they were both distinctive for different reasons. This man had a great beard.
Sarah Cassidy and Anne-Marie Mullan wear the beards and deliver the humour. That is more than enough, but also through the Edinburgh Fringe they were providing free biscuits and beards. Comedians with facial hair enough for everyone and biscuits to boot is a statement revealing genius. All of this started when Sarah Cassidy was told that her target comedy audience seemed to be bearded. Bedecking an audience in ‘face fur’ is not just funny but it could provide positive results all round. As the fates of facial hair would have it Billy Watson was on hand to provide his own beard as direct comparison to the comedy stunt beards sported by Cassidy and Mullan in the Grassmarket.

This is about as long as my beard has ever gotten, so I took a photo for posterity before I have to trim it down for a job interview today. View full size for excruciating detail.

Uniformed gentleman with a full beard. I’m not certain of his occupation. I can only assume that perhaps he is a train conductor(?).
