The Nebraska, Kansas, & Colorado afternoon crew switches the Trinidad Benham food grade bean facility in Imperial, Nebraska. They would pull this cut of six cars to set a single load to the main. Western Nebraska grows a greater variety of crops such as edible beans, sugar beets, sunflowers, and popcorn which gives railfans more opportunities to see smaller facilities like this supplying single car shipments to railroads.
Today it was very hot outside, not a single cloud in the sky. Nothing to shoot. Me and my son went and bought some coffee and I decided to make some macro shots of the beans. This shot in particular done with 18-55 lens and 3 extension tubes. Only natural light and a long exposure.

Beautiful flowers growing beans beneath them. I have searched for what this plant is called but I can't find it. Maybe someone knows?
I shot this macro by climbing up onto a field wagon filled with soy beans. This is part of the harvest series for the fall of 2009, a year farmers won't soon forget.

Three beans: Cattle; Soldier; and Black Orca. All speckled with their own distinctive markings. (Photographed using my iphone with a 'clip-on' macro lens attachment).
Here are some very young bean seedlings inside the greenhouse at Lexington Community Farm, seen in a 90-frame focus stack.
Very simple yet tasty and filling dish! Soak white beans over night and cook them almost soft the next day (without salt, just water). Drain and add vegetable broth, tomato, a hint of olive oil and fresh or dried herbs. Let cook until beans are soft.
Here is my Cortado photo again, which I've tweaked with the Cool Beans pre-set in Topaz Studio.
Topaz Studio has got the layer blending modes that you'd find in Photoshop, and an opacity slider (at the bottom of the interface) so you can blend it with your original photo.
Camera: my iPhone 7 with the ProCamera app set on a 3 second timer. Edited on my PC with Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.
