Day 2
Beaches around Plakias village.
The smaller part of the Amoudi beach; visited mostly by the folks who do not fancy swimsuits...
Another of our trip to Winterton-On-Sea. the beach was massive, so Teddy had a great time running around as always!
The coastline here is spectacular. There is a huge sandy beach below Harlech to rival some of my favourite ever beaches in Normandy. Luckily we like walking on beaches in all weathers and didn't mind the changeable Snowdonia weather at all. We had a great walk here.

HELP! What is this dude?? This was on the beach. What in the world do you think it is? It was about the size of a pinky finger.
Caves Beach
City of Lake Macquarie, NSW, Australia.
Caves Beach is a small coastal town found on the Swansea Peninsula about 2hrs north of Sydney.
It’s located between Lake Macquarie & the Pacific Ocean.
It has a surfing beach and is a very popular spot for spearfishing.
There are several caves that can be found on the southern end of the beach.
These caves can be explored during low tide.
Avoid if the sea is rough or during large swells.
The Florida Gulf Coast is abundant is seashells. One of the top places in the world to find seashells.

Enjoying a brief burst of nice weather inbetween all the howling gales and driving, heavy rain that has battered the country with two storm systems. It only lasted about an hour, but at least some folks (us included!) got a chance for a non-soggy beach stroll and let the hounds have a walk
Napili Beach was one of my favorite beaches on the island of Maui. Great sand, water, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and what a view!
You can check out my travel blog to read about our time at this amazing beach:
Botanical Beach is suppose to be famous for its intertidal life. When I visited this beach at the end of the Juan de Fuca trail I found many areas of the beach devoid of sea life indicating high visitor use.
When people talk about how we need to manage resources they are missing the point. Resources keep us alive but the reason we need to manage them is because we don't know how to manage ourselves. We need to shift our perspective when it comes to taking what we need from the earth.
