A day trip to Brighton beach from earlier in the year. The stormy and turbulent weather created some fantastic stormy conditions for atmospheric Landscape photography. This historic pier in Brighton is hugely popular with visitors to the town. It was first opened in 1899 and is over 1,760 feet long.
I took this on a road trip up the California coast somewhere between LA and Big Sur. We just pulled off the highway, hiked down the side of the cliffs, and spent a couple of hours at the beach. I like the texture the low tide had left and the clouds were diffusing the otherwise harsh sunlight. I used my Nikon D750 and Tokina 11-16 @ 16mm for capture and ran it through my usual Lighroom/ Nik processing.

The beach last week was full of debris after the wild weather, it makes for fascinating sand patterns.
This is a close-up photo of patterns in the sand in a stream at Clam Harbour Beach. There are a few pareidolia portraits present in the patterns.
Te-Oneroa-a-Tōhē, otherwise known as 90 Mile Beach (despite only being 55 miles long), is located on the western coast, in the far North of New Zealand.
Zuma Beach is a county beach on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. It's said to be one of the largest and most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, California.
A quiet and beautiful black sand beach lies just below the well known Waipi'o Valley Overlook. On this morning, I found myself the only one here, getting to explore and shoot flora and fauna, including several local horses that arrived in the green fields for breakfast. Later, a few young local surfers hit the waves as a rainstorm passed overhead. It was idyllic.
Here you can see the storm clouds laying in over the Pololu Valley just to the north.
Lens is the tiny but extremely capable DA21mm f/3.5. It is about the size of two Oreo cookies, but it outperforms the enormous Tamron 15-30/2.8 hands down.

in our way to cape point, we came across this beautiful scenery, I asked the car driver to stop so i can shoot it.
this picture was displayed in al-estudio for critique and was found to be liked except for the centred horizon and why not (1/3)
i measured the hight i was at and the details in both planes (sky and earth) and i didnt feel like losing any.. so i halved the scene combining what i felt to be the best of both worlds..
technically incorrect .. but it felt the best to me :)
the picture doesn't look like this originally but i had to post-process it so it would match what my eyes registered .. so i came with this :)
