Only a few of the once plentiful Ochre Sea Stars are left at Cannon Beach (and elsewhere up and down the West Coast). Some disease is killing them off. They used to blanket the rocks and tide pools. Now only handfuls remain, especially of those beautiful little orange guys.

I was walking the beautiful beach of St.Peter Ording when this group of sportsmen caught my eye. They found a nice little spot on a sandbank for their exercises.

Sorry kids....no swimming today. A decent swell came through today, the first one in a while thanks to Cyclone Vania.
This was taken at Whale Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. There was still a few people ignoring the signs but I'm pretty sure they all survived...

The background beach was a photo I took in Newgale (Wales), a few years ago.
I wanted to use a bottle, but couldn't find the one I was searching for, so made the sphere instead.
Eeeek! I finally have Jackson, I've waited so long and been back and forth to Smyths to see if they'll get Gloom Beach in stock, then I saw that apparently ASDA have them in!
So I rush out to my local ASDA and get there to dumbfounded shop workers not having any clue what Monster High Dolls are >_<
But then my boyfriend said he'd pop into the larger ASDA near where he works, and there was Jackson!
I adore him, I'm totally smitten! ^_^
