The vibrant colours of the beach huts generate memories of Summer and doing relaxation on the beach.
Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness. Wishing everyone lots of happiness this Summer.
When I went to Avila last week I thought I would have the beach to myself but the Thanksgiving crowds had already arrived. So I just made them part of the photo as the sun set behind Point Buchon.

Ponce de Leon claimed Florida for Spain in 1513. (Christopher Columbus discovered North America in 1492 but actually landed in the Bahamas). Other Spanish explorers later found gold and silver in Mexico and Peru. The treasure was sent back to Spain in ships sailing in the Gulf Stream. Spanish settlements needed to be built in Florida to protect the Spanish Treasure fleets. King Phillip II of Spain sent Pedro Menendez to settle in Florida and drive out French garrisons recently established there. In September 1565, Pedro Menendez with 700 soldiers and colonists landed 'here' and founded St. Augustine making it the oldest continually occupied European settlement in North America ~ Saint Augustine Inlet

The snow and ice shelves are gone from the beaches on Lake Michigan's western shore. The beaches are also clear of people because the summer visitors haven't started arriving. This is the perfect time to wander the beaches and see what's to be seen.
The world needs this message to be spread throughout.

Heading down towards that beautiful, perfect looking white sandy beach and turquoise waters for an afternoon dip.
in our way to cape point, we came across this beautiful scenery, I asked the car driver to stop so i can shoot it.
this picture was displayed in al-estudio for critique and was found to be liked except for the centred horizon and why not (1/3)
i measured the hight i was at and the details in both planes (sky and earth) and i didnt feel like losing any.. so i halved the scene combining what i felt to be the best of both worlds..
technically incorrect .. but it felt the best to me :)
the picture doesn't look like this originally but i had to post-process it so it would match what my eyes registered .. so i came with this :)
i hope you like it.. and any further critiques are welcome..
we are here to learn.. so don't be shy to teach me :)
