From the archives. Will be a while before we in Oz can venture this far afield again :(

This is a close-up photo of sunlight refracting through water patterns in a shallow stream flowing across Clam Harbour Beach.

Beach Huts are a great British institution and these colourful huts are located in Southwold Sussex. Angry skies were around as I took these images (early one morning) so it was definitely a matter of grab the shot and head back to the car before the heavy rains started.

We loved our day at Llanbedrog, super beach, almost empty of people and some lovely walks. The beach huts are such a colourful feature!

The view on Big Blue Diving Center at night. The light creates a beautiful scenery with the palm tree and the dhaos.

This is a photo of a wave sculpted pool of water on Clam Harbour Beach. I positioned the camera at the angle that captured the brightest luminosity of the sun highlights on the wet sand, and set the aspect ratio to 16:9 for this composition.

Whitstable beach on the north kent coastline!

Most mornings when we were in Darwin over Christmas/New Year, we walked along Casuarina Beach where it looked different every day.

Fun with the camera with a touch of texture added

With the sun and high cliffs behind me in the middle of the day I got this quite nice shot!

Kirinda is a gateway to Yala national park. It also has a beach and off-shore reefs for diving. These mean tourism is important for Kirinda.

Kirinda is a windy place and the sea can be a bit rough.

A group of fossil hunters prepare to go hunting for fossils along Charmouth Beach. This beach forms part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It is one of the most famous of the Jurassic locations in the world, yielding plenty of fossils for the thousands that come collecting each year.

After many overcast and cold days, the weather wasn't all that bad last Sunday, so it was busy on Hoek van Holland beach.

This is number 27 of the Hoek van Holland album.
