Machine-pieced top, all batiks. I saw a small quilt in a magazine and got the idea for this pattern. I love this green batik fabric - the rest of the colors were chosen to keep it company. Very fruity, happy colors.

I usually mix my own colors, but this is a premix called "yucca" from Dharma Trading Co.

Caribelle Batik is located on the grounds of historic Romney Manor on the island of St Kitts. Romney Manor, a former sugar plantatiion, was once owned by the great great great grandfather of President Thomas Jefferson. In the early 17th century the property was acquired by the Earl of Romney from which it got it's present name.

More cotton (100%) batik fabric with another bird design on it. As mentioned in my blog, I can get more of these if anyone keen to trade (plus it would be a good excuse for me to pop over to say hi to the elderly couple who owns the shop)
