Basiliscus basiliscus, a beautiful and fairly large lizard, growing to well over 2' in length. Also known as the Jesus Lizard, due to it's habit of running across the water when disturbed or scared. Photo taken at the Rainforest Resort marina in Gamboa, Panama, on 13-Jan-2016.
Ideas Grand Prize Winner
This design was a MOC that I entered into the 2018 LEGO Ideas Contest for Wizarding World builds. It took the Grand Prize in the Magical Creatures category!
It was the first all-nighter that I ever pulled to create a LEGO design. Though technically it was an accidental all-nighter. The Basilisk's segments were challenging to figure out!
Looking like a creature from Harry Potter I assume this is an adult male. Normally very shy this individual outside reception at Crocodile Bay was presumably somewhat habituated to humans
