Basilique du Sacré Coeur de Montmartre, Paris, France.

The 'Basilique du Sacré Coeur' in Liège.

A panorama made from 12 different images, stitched with autopano-pro.

This shot of the Sacre Coeur in Montmartre, Paris was taken at about 8am, in case you were wondering why it's not swarming with people (and sunglass salesmen). In fact I had the place to myself till the first bus load of tourists arrived.

Another photo from the deep archives overlooked because of a messy foreground. Cropped to a panoramic format and all of a sudden it's worth sharing with the world.

There are lots of lovely alleys in Montmarte. You can see Basilique du Sacre Coeur in the back.

It is the sixth largest church in the world and is situated in the territory of the Koekelberg municipality.

The cathedral was built to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Belgian independence. In 1905, King Leopold II laid the first stone, but the edifice was not completed until 1971.
