I didn't set out to take pics of the SB BART Station. It was just that my shopping pals were all late and I was bored!

Going to the East Bay — or as I call it, overseas — reminds me of Star Wars every time. First, it's the shipping container cranes in the Port of Oakland. And the BART trains sound like a TIE fighter. Last night, while running from one train to the other, I saw this and thought of the Death Star interior.

There's too much motion blur here, but I like the spiral effect enough that I'm uploading it, mostly to remind myself later to try to do something better here.
Photojournalism attempt with my tiny camera:
August 22, 2011. Protesters organized by "Anonymous" marched against the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) in downtown SF, causing the train stations to shut down temporarily. The protestors went up and down Market Street, followed closely by police in riot gear. 45 people were eventually arrested.
Reasons for the protest: shooting by Bart police and the subsequent shut-off of cell-phone use on August 11th (by Bart to avoid coordination efforts within the stations).
