One cannot go to the Whitsundays without a visit to the reef. I chose to do a fly over and what a view it is. The reef is 2300km long and between 60 and 250km wide. Quite amazing. www.gbrmpa.gov.au/about-the-reef/facts-about-the-great-ba...
Berlin 2018.
On the right side still are the water barriers standing that German Democratic Republic built 1962 after the pleasure vessel Friedrich Wolf escaped here through the Landwehr Channel to the western part of Berlin. Berlin 2018.

Life always seems to throw up barriers...things to hamper our progress or hopes of it....apart from the obvious physical barriers many are invisible...but very much in place all the same
thanks for having a look in......appreciate it......best bigger.....hope you have a Great Week
One of the most interesting things i have seen this time in London were the Thames Barriers. I went with a ship from Greenwich to that technical marvel and could see them through this way very close. It was also a fantastic trip passing the beautiful skyline of the Docklands and i could stop myself taking photographs...
Please look at the photo before to have an idea of the dimension of these barriers.
The world is full of barriers...some physical...some legal.....some naturally formed by people about other people...they can be the biggest barriers of them all
Thanks for looking...appreciated....best bigger....hope you have a Great Weekend
Geometric.
For context, this the one of the barriers, Trent side, from the fast flow of the waste water treatment plant.

I stopped by the lake for a sandwich and did a few shots whilst there, still hard to beat this location along this road.
The Thames Barrier is a retractable barrier system that is designed to prevent the floodplain of most of Greater London from being flooded by exceptionally high tides and storm surges moving up from the North Sea. It has been operational since 1982. When needed, it is raised during high tide; at low tide, it can be opened to restore the river's flow towards the sea.
Built approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) due east of the Isle of Dogs, its northern bank is in Silvertown in the London Borough of Newham and its southern bank is in the New Charlton area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
