I was asked to join a group and add ONE photo of what I saw as my masterpiece.
I thought long and hard and it just had to be this bangle. It took me a long time to make and it turned out exactly as I wanted.
The black stones are onyx and spinels.
The shimmer of purple bangles. I wore these with my purple Bharatanatyam costume during my rangapravesham two years ago :)

This is a stack of bangles we shot for a flyer we sent out in our neighbourhood.
All the bangles are handmade.
The top and bottom of the stack is a design consiting of colored gemstones
The bangle in the centre has a beautiful inter weaved design set in with baguette shaped diamonds.
The rest are single lined diamond bangle sets.
couldn't find any Guatemalan bracelets that I liked, so made my own with stuff I had on hand: a woven cord from Venezuela, some embroidery thread to make tassels, and three little quitapenas dolls from the Chichi market (these dolls, a Maya custom, carry your troubles away while you sleep...) Pretty happy with these three soft fabric bangles. They won't last forever, but what does? Can always make more. :)
The bangles are one of the must ornaments of a Girl. These colorful bangles are offered at the temple and also given to the kids (Kanjak) during prayers in the temple.
Custom Bangle
Composed of multiple feet of sterling silver wire, lovely pink, white and lavender lampwork beads, sterling silver beads, and mykonos metalized donuts.
The sterling clasp was made and hammered by me.

Bangle made from one of the weights on the threads in the loom we found on the roof of one of the Hans in Istanbul. The nail and washer also came from there and the quartz was bought in the Grand Bazaar!
Set with included quartz, black spinel and garnet.
Taken with Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens on Panasonic GH2.
Seamless bangles and beads waiting to be made into something... What will it be? A key ring? A necklace? Perhaps some earrings!
