This is an unusally designed bangle with squarish outer and conventional rounded inside. This has been especially crafted by craftsmen from Calcutta. It has meena work combined with semi preciosu gemstones.

I was pretty stumped as to how to display my bangles, so this is what I finally came up with. I'll probably make or buy something better when I have more money, but for now this is what I made. I made the "pillars" out of polymer clay. And the bar is made from a paper towel roll.

My chic silver bangles are made of sterling silver using a crochet hook in a rare technique, its diameter is 2.7"(70mm).
It is great by itself, or even nicer with one or two" friends".
It's a plain wire bangle, wrapped with paper flowers, then wrapped with pink ribbon, and then wrapped with small facetted crystal beads in a dark crimson - the colours gone a bit wonky in this photo, because I've taken these in too dark a light!

Jason Chart Davies is a Manchester based designer for Lazerian, specialising in the creation of sculptural forms and jewellery using sheet plastics. Hand-crafted in sheet plastic, the pieces have an organic, intricate appearance, which utilise the flexibility of the medium to create flowing forms under tension. Jason Chart Davies joined Lazerian in January and has been developing work and collaborating with Liam Hopkins (founder of Lazerian) since.
Maniharon ka Rasta in the old city is full of tiny workshops of lac bangle makers. The colours and variety are amazing - and the prices are so low it's unbelievable.
couldn't find any Guatemalan bracelets that I liked, so made my own with stuff I had on hand: a woven cord from Venezuela, some embroidery thread to make tassels, and three little quitapenas dolls from the Chichi market (these dolls, a Maya custom, carry your troubles away while you sleep...) Pretty happy with these three soft fabric bangles. They won't last forever, but what does? Can always make more. :)

This beadwoven bangle was inspired by a mythical serpent. Right angle weave was used to create a hollow bracelet that can be worn by men or women.
