This is the first of two bracelets that I have created for the Habitude show. It is a simple, one-layer bangle with 20 silicone spines.
This piece was named for the Roman goddess of freedom which was the inspiration for the Statue of Liberty. This piece reminds me of her crown.
It is sterling silver and silicone and measures approximately 6 inches across from spine-tip to spine-tip with an inner diameter of 2.75".
These colorful bangles are one of the main attractions for Bengali women in any festival. This picture was taken from Shakhari Bazar, Old Dhaka area, where a seller was selling these bangles on the street. These particular bangles are made of glasses- very light, cheap in price and fun to wear (for women).

I wanted to make a bangle with grey (because I have a lot of clothes with a grey-melee color). So after many tries I ended up in: translucent grey, translucent chocolate and opaque vanilla. Mjammieeee :)
So yesterdag in the lovely snow-sunshine....a nice photo :)
I tried some different techniques with exact the same tintes/shades of brown, grey ;) and vanilla. And ended up with this technique because I love the blends.
The colors and holes......are inspired from the roof of a hamam (Turkish Bath) where I once was....The roof of a hammam always have round windows in it to let the outside-light in. A wonderfull view :)
Ps: I meant the bracelet to be asymmtric, so the inner circle is just out of the middlepoint
This bangle is inspired by Cynthia Rutledge's famous Honeycomb Bangle. The base and the wall were weaved the same way as her bangle, but I added more flowers and czech fire polished rounds over the top. I did not expect it to turn out to be this sweet soft blue green piece, but I like it. hehe~
