I have been using Rumford Baking Powder since I was a kid, cooking with my Mom using our Betty Crocker Cookbook. I still use my 1972 version for basic recipes.
As the container says, the company was founded in 1856!

Rumford Center began in 1856 as Rumford Chemical Works, producing and shipping baking powder across the nation and around the world.
At its height of activity around the turn of the century, Rumford Chemical included 300 acres of working farms and communities to sustain the factory workers, and the Village of Rumford was called the "kitchen capital of the world."
The most popular product from the Rumford Chemical Works was Rumford Baking Powder, a double-acting baking powder which was revolutionary in minimizing the time and labor required to make breadstuffs. Products like Rumford Baking Powder led to the creation of new types of cakes, cookies, biscuits and other baked goods.
Rumford Baking Powder is no longer manufactured on-site, but can still be found in grocery stores around the country.
After closing in 1968, the factory buildings at the Rumford Chemical Works fell into disrepair. But in 2006 PK Rumford LLC purchased the old Chemical Works and breathed new life into the site. The remaining factory buildings were rehabilitated to accommodate 8.3 acres of apartments, office space, retail shops, a restaurants.
Rumford Center has brought new vitality to the historic Rumford neighborhood. More than just another development, Rumford Center has become an economic, historical and cultural engine which has revitalized the village.
On June 12, 2006, Rumford Chemical Works was Designated a National Chemical Historic Landmark for its contribution to the development of baking powder.
The Rumford Center continues to celebrate its heritage in visual and cultural displays that will lead the way for further sensitive evolution for the town, the city of East Providence, and beyond.
Not a "baked brie" per se, but brie that had been baked. A failed first attempt. I wrapped a pie-crust around a less-than-stellar chunk of brie in order to make it more interesting. In that, I succeeded.

Chocolate with peanut butter chips. The dough tastes exceptionally good, and the baked cookies aren't too bad themselves.
I baked on Sunday... Strawberry Cupcakes! I really baked them for everybody at work, and was supposed to take them to work with me today, but I was late this morning and forgot them... Stupid me! Anyway, they smelt absolutely devine when they came out of the oven.. yummy and strawberry sweet!! *licks lips*
