This is Little House Needleworks 2011 ornament #7 "Baked Goods". This is one of the first patterns I bought when getting back into cross stitching. I used 30ct Old Mill Java linen that I had on hand. I plan to sew this up as an ornament or a knob hanger.

as usual :)

...yeah - my dearest friends asked me to bake a cake the other day - I think it was ment as a joke... but my inner prankster woke up by this - so I decided to bake a cake for them all...

now - I acctually don't bake and I can't draw so they must just understand that I meant this in the sweetest way ;)

This was my first attempt at this trick. I wanted it to seem like I normally just float around and have to use my legs to stabalize. Plus I figured I wouldn't ever wear shoes.

a mini take on the normally larger cupcakes, this tiny cupcake was bite-sized! a little bit of chocolate, chocolate chips and cream cheese. it was a small treat and the size (or the lack of a wrapper made it a little bit oily to the taste.

The kitchenaid has gotten dressed up for the holiday baking. Sticker from bakeanddestroy on Etsy.

The very kind people of Duncan Hines invited me and Nichelle to represent Cupcakes Take as they launched their National Bake Sale Contest (which you can enter now!) to benefit Cupcakes for a Cause/CancerCare for Kids®.

We learned about the CancerCare for Kids®, were sold cupcakes from St. Dominic High School students, saw a cupcake demo by our inspiration Clare Crespo, and ate delicious food and cupcakes.

baked potatoes with butter, garlic, sour cream and spices

I decided I HAD to try making cinnamon rolls and went in search of special sugar. I liked this simple recipe because it's not TOO sweet. My kitchen was cold, so I didn't think the dough rose too much the first time, but after placing the rolls on the stove while I was cooking dinner, they rose a LOT. This is a series of process pictures. I would definitely make these again, but freeze half of the batch (or just halve it!).

Baked in Golden Syrup and Black Treacle tins. A dollop of clotted cream ice cream onto hot sticky puddings. The ultimate in dessert naughtiness!

The casserole's baked for 20 minutes, but it's not quite done yet...

Bake at 350 for 20ish minutes. Let cool on wire rack immediately after removing from oven.

I baked a Strata for dinner tonight. Easy to make: it is just sausage, old bread, egg, mushrooms, swiss chard and spices. super tasty

Q: What do you do with all the leftover white rice you get with your Chinese takeout?

A: Make rice pudding, duh!

baked surmullet with potatoes fennel and olive paste

Forgot to upload the pictures of the yummy desserts Ivonne and I made for Mardi Gras dinner. :-)

These are Ivonne's contributions. Let me just say that this pie is the single tastiest baked good I've ever had. Bar none. I mean sweet potato pie is nice, and so is pecan pie... but combined? Heaven.

I'm still having these I Can't Believe I Have Ever Wasted My Time With Store Bought Dough moments. It takes less than 5 minutes to make, with the Great Love that is my Cuisinart.
