The plastic bag symbolises permanent pollution. It's very useful initially, but when it's discarded it takes on a life of its own, and it's journey is indefinate, polluting the environment as it goes.

I'm having so much fun playing with my wool stash - most recently three bag styles in the same wool plaid and corduroy combo!
My ultimate goal is to help you to get your project done, securely, on time, at a very good price and without problems.

One of the bags I decorated for the Christmas fayre, I designed the images and made stencils from them, then used gold and silver fabric sprays to decorate the bags. I love my love birds!
Nuno felt bag that matches belt. On grey silk chiffon, with multi coloured layers of merino wool and silk hankies. Closeup of detail with button, and pattern silk hankies made as they blended with the wool. This was taken before adding a detail under the button.
what can I say, Peanut just loves her plastic bags! as soon as one gets emptied after putting groceries away, she dives right in. this only lasts a few moments then we take the bag away (for safety reasons).
Tommy on the other hand just loves to lounge around his sister.
First bag I've made following a pattern. It turned out pretty good. This is also the first time I've use fusible lining. It's amazing. :)

my everyday (quite literally) tote bag ~ made as a sample for a sewing class to illustrate some basic techniques. it is made from a linen remnant and the floral pocket and straps are made from a special piece of fabric that was my mother in laws. It is lined with some pink candy stripe fabric from an old sheet.
7 Jun 2014 - Recessed zipper (Craftsy Design Your Own Handbag class). Size of bag is about 12 x 12 x 3
(Bonnie is a woman in my exercise class who one day mentioned she wanted a zippered bag for her water, wallet, and cellphone, strictly for the class. I wanted to experiment with some techniques I learned in the Craftsy class, so this is more or less a prototype of a larger bag (different fabrics and more pockets) I will make later. Bonnie thought a Patriotic theme might be something she would like, and I just happened to have a few leftovers from quilt tops I made some years ago for a church group. So, here we are!
