The inside of the flap features this action-packed picture of Mario. The front flap has a flying fish patch, and the inside is red with several pockets. The strap has a Nintendo controller sewn on to it. I made this bag to donate to an art auction which was a fundraiser for the Heroes Initiative. You can just barely see the vintage Nintendo controller sewn to the strap.

A cozy quilt for your beloved laptop

there is a slip in pocket on the back side here. i added a magnetic snap so it wouldn't flop open.

my other nifty vintage find at Uturn for $12. i was immediately attracted to the colour and buckles.

Need to get the inside cleaned now though....any tips????? yes i am talking to all the vintage buying fashion dahlings out there!

Coach Bag

Whilst waiting for my train at East Croydon I saw a member of staff looking at this bag that had fallen on the line. She was on the radio asking for the line to be blocked.

"Oh no!" I thought. This'll take ages.

However, the young man who owned the bag was right there. He asked if he could just get it but she said he wasn't allowed to.

She went off so the chap just lay on the platform, reached down and got his bag - some minutes before the train came.

Love this bag, so happy with how it turned out.

The paper piecing technique was used to make blocks of this bag. :)

Mods: My bag is 4 stitches shorter. I did this by accident but kept going with it. I really didn't like this project. The yarns held double with the thick needles really hurt my wrists. I didn't like to work on it much so it languished around for a long time.

August 9th: IN MY BAG...♡

Ok, so I'm a bit if a bag addict (I'm not the only one out there!)... or at least I was. I'm pretty happy with my little collection built up over the years (I use the term 'little' rather loosely here!!!) and now that I have a bag in practically every colour, it's very rare for me to buy one these days. Hmmm, maybe I should have saved this for the upcoming 'treasures' or 'guilty pleasures' day!!! ♡♡♡

Been sewing some more zipper bags. This time around with covered zipper ends.
