A drawstring pouch combining crocheting, knitting and cotton print fabric.
This bag has dark, muted colors with delicate flowers growing in the shadows. It is like a special place that you have found on your walk in the forest. When I was a little girl I used to have this kind of hiding places.
Height from the center point of the bottom to the top edge: appr. 8 inch
Circumference: appr. 8 inch
The bottom of the bag is crocheted from estonian wool.
The middle part is knitted from estonian wool.
The top is sewn from cotton fabrics.
The string is knitted i-cord, felted for durability.
Took me long enough but I finally managed to sort out my stuff and take a picture of it, albeit a not so good one.

this is by the bookhau folks, and i love it very much. long gone i'm afraid, but i wanted to archive this photo since i missed getting it when i had the chance :) (and it was very hard to find this pic again).
A long-strapped hand bag combining knitting, corduroy and cotton fabrics.
Inspired by the old textiles and contemporary fall fashion, I have knitted this hand bag with many details. I call this bag Ruska, which is a Finnish word for fall colors.
The cover of the bag has been knitted from wool and wool and alpaca blend. I used stranded knitted and included hand dyed yarn, that I have dyed just for Kukkilintu.
The bag is lined with prewashed corduroy fabric, very fashionable, giving lovely contrast to the folk patterning of the knitted cover. The flap of the bag is also sewn from corduroy fabric.
The straps have been made from prewashed cotton fabric. They have stylish patchwork decoration.
The bag closes with a button.
Height of the bag: appr. 8 inches (20 cm)
Width of the bag: appr. 6 inches (15 cm)
Length of the strap: appr. 43,5 inches (111 cm)
Pattern: Miniature Knitting Bag Ornaments
Needles: Size 7 US
Yarn: Bag is made from Cascade 220 superwash; mini hanks are various weights of sock and lace weight yarn.
I made this for a mini ornament swap we did at our Knit Knight holiday party. I ended up with Shanda's beautiful sweater, and she ended up with this bag.

I made mini-hanks of yarn by wrapping laceweight and sockweight yarn around a book and then carefully twisting it. I used toothpicks for the knitting needles with beads glued to the top.
This was quick, easy and tons of fun. I should make one for myself.

Bag I made to use this Autumn. My own pattern, size was determined by the back pocket from the cord trousers I used. Fully lined with internal zippered pocket. Also made a detachable key chain to keep keys safe. Two side pockets. Buckle for decoration, magnetic closure. Strap attached using vintage buttons. (First time sewing buttons on with my machine!)
