Christina Aguilera - #5
In light of my images having been used, uncredited, (please see here) I thought I'd release the final images of the Christina concert.
LIVE in BANGKOK - Impact Arena Bangkok, Thursday 28 June, 2007.
The "newspaper" in the background is a large screen on which images and film were projected throughout the concert.
During one song everything merged together into a pretty cool scene.

"Your not so going to post this on flickr!" she threatened me, i´m going to follow your stream!
It was not her fault that I walked into her few meters after leaving home with lenscap off and pre set focus, but expectable.
After a few more exposures she seemingly gave up, resistance is futile :D
(that said I´ll probably read her blog soon)
My friends and I went to the Christina Aguilera "Back to Basics" concert. We met up with John Groo and Ronnie for dinner at a Mexican restaurant and Carl, Anthony and I went to the Hartford Civic Center for the show :P

This shot for the "Back to Basics" series was taken using the Rebel XT paired with the Canon EF 75-300 F3.5-6.3 III lens.
To create this HDR/Tonemapped shot, I used three exposures (-1 2/3 EV, 0 EV, 1 2/3 EV) and then processed the photos using Photomatix Pro 4.02. I created a one off custom filter in Photomatix and then lightly processed (added clarity) the tonemapped in Lightroom prior to exporting.
As a special note on this photo, the sensor on the camera was able to pick up additional colors that were not visible to the naked eye from the position that I was shooting the image. It is for this reason that I have left the image as a simple tone map and not added additional processing in Topaz Adjust.

Gilette: the best a man can get :)
Saw this at the Zoo yesterday and it made me think of a razor.
No animals were harmed taking this shot :)
Another one straight out of the camera.
Have a great weekend!
A bitter sweet tale of political awakening from a working class perspective. With nothing left to lose, but everything to fight for Samantha followed Russell Brand into the Neverland of anarchy.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I finally got an update from Canon! I had to call to find out what was going on. Turns out they had my 5D filed under the wrong name, still sitting in their receiving department. Ugh. Finally got everything straightened out, and they tell me it should be fixed in at most 7 days.

Achieved using only a primitive orbing kit per the link above.
It has been an age since I cracked out some orbs and the lack of
practice soon caught up on me when my hand cramped up on only the 5th
shot. Very lame bearing in mind I've done an hour straight in the
past.
All 5 shots I attempted tonight used a 2-colour combo which meant I
had to find a best method of stopping the swing without really
screwing up the form of the orb. Both strings had a knot in them to
act as a grip, and the knots were made the same distance away from the
weight clips in order to keep size consistency. Upon completion of
each colour spin I pulled the string up sharply in order to stifle the
decreasing rotations and hide the smaller lines of light within the
bigger form. Think it worked ok. Both orbs were on uneven surfaces
with slight slopes so they were never going to be spot on.
I might persist with these from time to time as I like the simplicity
of the set up. No soldering, wiring prep, etc etc.
