June 23, 2013: James Hinchcliffe, driver of the No. 27 GoDaddy Chevrolet, during the IZOD IndyCar Series Iowa Corn Indy 250 race at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. James Hinchcliffe won the race by 1.509 seconds over Ryan Hunter-Reay.
The points leader leaving Daytona, Adam Gilliland (#81), finds himself in an early crash down the backstretch along with teammate Derek Crone (#07). Tyler D Hudson (#01) would go on to take over the point's lead leaving Vegas.
These new barns are built over what was once the backstretch, effectively ending the rumors that racing would return to Northampton.

For Monthly Scavenger Hunt. My sister's horses pull carriages so I had to resort to toys for this category! I bought these little racers to use this for "fair ground" in June but it didn't turn out right for that.

This is at the backstretch at Saratoga Race Track. I used my little camera which is good for shots like this, using a extension shutter release I was able to line this up and I waited for the starting gate to open. The backstretch is nice and low keyed and I got a pass from a friend of a friend who works at the track. This is the final weekend at Saratoga and I don't go much but I like to go at least once a season.
