Painters work on the backstretch at Bristol Motor Speedway in preparation for the August 20th. races.
Elizabeth and her two break companions lapped the field on the bell lap. As Planned Elizabeth jumped at the start of the backstretch for another 250m effort and she won overall by a tire and of course won the Women's Masters division. Two races, two wins for a 56 year old Masters racer against Cat 4/5, Juniors, collegiates, it doesn't matter.
June 23, 2013: James Hinchcliffe, driver of the No. 27 GoDaddy Chevrolet, during the IZOD IndyCar Series Iowa Corn Indy 250 race at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. James Hinchcliffe won the race by 1.509 seconds over Ryan Hunter-Reay.
The points leader leaving Daytona, Adam Gilliland (#81), finds himself in an early crash down the backstretch along with teammate Derek Crone (#07). Tyler D Hudson (#01) would go on to take over the point's lead leaving Vegas.
These new barns are built over what was once the backstretch, effectively ending the rumors that racing would return to Northampton.
