Shot with a Nikon D300S with an 18-55mm at 26mm. 1/250 f/6.3 ISO 320.
Two flashes, 1 Vivitar 285hv to the left of shot, full power, mounted on a tripod, and one Nikon SB-18 to the right of shot just above the quarterpipe, full power.
A simple street scene: more and more buses here are filled with advertising space. E.g. of this All-you-can-Eat sushi restaurant. (which BTW is very good)

22 June: The Backside
Took a break from skating to shoot some photos of my friends. I'm starting to realize that my little sb700 doesn't really have enough power to light up outdoor scenes in very low light conditions. I also discovered that CLS doesn't work very well outdoors either. Processed the photo in Silver Efex Pro 2 and did some re-cropping.
I got this one of the Gavin power plant at Cheshire, Ohio, near the golden hour recently and thought it might look nice in black and white. You make the call.

The day after Thanksgiving was a sunny day so i packed up the camera and tripod and headed to Steamer Lane for some action sports pictures. Recently I ordered a new filter for the Canon 400 f/5.6 lens. It is a Graduated Neutral Density screw on one by B&W that just shades the upper portion 2 stops. This is the result of the session. I had alot more shots be usable that used to be over-exposed at the top. Now the meter can figure out the exposure much easier. The only caveat is the exposure is less light which means the shutter speed is lower. So I bumped up the ISO and let it rip. I will be posting alot of surf pics now.
