From the street, Melbourne city looks glamorous and shiny with interesting alleyways and places to explore. This was the view from my hotel room taken with my phone showing the old and original rear of these buildings with multiple floors many unoccupied, as most shops only need the ground floor. I found it fascinating with it's own beauty to see the old and original in their unpolished form with a touch of Sunday sliding. HSS
Just got back from a trip to New Mexico where we were exploring the old mud rutted backroads looking for things to shoot. This is an arch we found that I haven't seen any images of yet. Have you shot this? I'm looking forward to going back and shooting it at night! Have a great weekend!

As different as it may be, all life shares one thing with all that is natural: Death. As life follows death and death follows life again, it is a perfect circle. An unspoken balance of nature that must not be disturbed under any circumstance. Its the Taker's job to uphold this balance throughout the universe. All that dies ends up at his place in the furthest reaches of the cosmos and there, after a conversation, The Taker decides if, where and how someone who died will re-incarnate.
A solemn, serious being whose goals remain shrouded in mystery,he is of the same species as The Maker,
and has been working around with the fat deity for atleast a billion years.
This moc has been on my mind for a long, long time and now it is finally done. Because of a certain contest, it naturally also was made to fit into the #Rebrick contest.

In the exhibion Extra Large Kunsthal Rotterdam is presenting a large-scale retrospective of imposing tapestries based on designs by renowned artists like Pablo Picasso, Le Corbusier, Miró, Vasarely and Louise Bourgeois.
Most of the works were produced at the historical institute ‘Manufacture des Gobelins’ in Paris.

- another test shot, manual focus really not that hard...
- it may not be a macro lens, but it focuses down to 80cm with a 1:4 magnification factor, but because it's ultra sharp even wide open like in this example, it still has lots of detail in the focus plane...remarkable IMHO
This dog sitting with her feet splayed out made me stop, laugh and take this photo. When I got it on the screen I saw I had 3 bums in the picture, only one of them cute.
The backside of Iron Mountain and Ellie Lane after a little rain seemed to freshen things up.
I always love taking a hike after a light rain storm, just enough rain to tamp down the dirt and minimize dust while washing a lot of the dust off of the local vegetation. With a little cloud layer on a cool morning and spots of sun shining through you couldn't ask for a better day for a light hike.

When it comes to tourist destinations, I'm rather a back door man, choosing to prowl the alleyways and backsides of buildings where the people don't venture. It is here, in these ignored locations, that the true essence of an area is to be found.
