With the historic summit shelter and trail visible, as well as snowy White Mountain Peak across the Owens Valley. Whitney is the highest mountain in California (and the lower 48 states), and White Mountain is the third-highest.

I would have crouched down to capture a longer view along the midline of this row of chairs but there were too many people in the distance, which ruined the lines of sight.

I feel like I'm on the backside of Summer. I keep hearing everyone talk of going back to school. Summer activities are winding down. I sort of dread Winter coming. But I'll have this new hobby of photography to help. I just hope I'll be able to find interesting subjects without the Summer flowers and bugs around. For now, I intend to enjoy this last bit of Summer to the full! :)
