Making really good progress on the back of the Cardigan for Arwen. Cast on late Sunday night, then continued on Monday. Took this photo at the guild meeting Monday night.
It's really more of a pinkish lavender color than the picture reflects. Can't wait to start work on the cabling for the front and hood panels!
Remove the backpanel covering the battery from the amp (in our case the Ashton BSK 158) and attach the wires to the battery terminals. The Shure PGX4 (the wireless receiver we're using) has a polarity protecting diode in it (you'd think they'd put one in), so while you're experimenting with which wire goes on which terminal you won't blow it up.
The BSK 158's battery does slide out - turn the amp up and shake it to get it to come out. It's much easier with the battery out. Use the good old black gaffer tape to secure the wire.
This is the back panel of the computer in the next photo. I thought the old design of the connectors was so cool.
After about 20y honoured service it starts to spit out unexpected popping noises. Some say it has to do with capacitors gone off. I don't have a clue of what it could be: got it dismounted to find out the PCB is quite easy and as long as I have the wiring diags I'll get an expert to replace some components
