August 8th, 9th, and 10th During our Backpacking Trip into Olympic National Park. Audrey's first overnight trip (two nights) into the mountains.

Fortunately there were some large poles by the campsite that I adjusted the size of to make perfect tarp poles.
The whole 42 mile circuit, in orange. Started from the camp area just west of Slate Run at the center-east, went counter-clockwise, second night at the far southwest camp area.

The inaugural Backpacking 101 program took 14 participants on an overnight backpack to Nambe Lake in the Sangre de Christo Mountains.
After waking up at beautiful Lake Katherine, we packed up camp and headed over Windy Pass to camp our second night below Puerto Nambe.
Standing in the West Forks Black Fork River, in the High Uintas Wilderness Area. 45 miles from the nearest town.
