After waking up at beautiful Lake Katherine, we packed up camp and headed over Windy Pass to camp our second night below Puerto Nambe.
August 8th, 9th, and 10th During our Backpacking Trip into Olympic National Park. Audrey's first overnight trip (two nights) into the mountains.
This is probably my favorite photo from the trip as it shows the girls joy in being in the mountains.

After waking up at beautiful Lake Katherine, we packed up camp and headed over Windy Pass to camp our second night below Puerto Nambe.
The whole 42 mile circuit, in orange. Started from the camp area just west of Slate Run at the center-east, went counter-clockwise, second night at the far southwest camp area.
