You can make two different photos one concept by emphasizing the relationship between the two subjects of the photos. It is important to capture all of the similarities between the two objects you photograph. The viewer has to be able to recognize the relationship instantly or the photos do not have enough similarities. The concept behind this photo was what you carry with you everyday. The photo on the left is of my backpack with an asphalt background. It pairs very well with the grey on the backpack. The picture on the left is of the things that are in my backpack. I gave the photo a blue tint because it matched really well with the colors of the asphalt, backpack, and books.

I think this is about where we ended up. After walking out of Red Bridge, we joined the #NCT and the terrain changed. The Manistee River trail stays up atop the riverbank. Whereas the NCT side has more ups and downs along the hills. By this point we were getting tired, our bags were getting heavier and our feet hurt. However, there didnt seem to be as many campsites on this side. We were going to stay at Red Hill, but there were people setup there. Finally, we came to this hill, which looked out over the entire river valley.
We did a 7 day/6 night backpack trip from the South Rim in Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona.
We descended into the canyon on the South Bass Trail continuing on the Tonto West Trail ascending on the Hermit Trail.
Highlights include seeing 8 significant side canyons, carrying two gallons of water 1 day and not seeing any other people for 4 entire days.

Day 2. Covered 17 miles yesterday. We would be in those mountains in about a week and the amount of snow was exciting. The west side of the lake gets more snow then the east side. The night clerk at the hotel last night said that he thought the snow would not melt entirely this year.

Colorful backpacks at Land of Nod. Incidentally, Evan's cousin Elsa is now the proud owner of a backpack like the one on the far end, since we took them there a couple days ago, during their visit.
