It seems I can't resist photographing this ugly building.

Photographed in northwest Ann Arbor on a Sunday evening bicycle ride. I liked the backlighting as soon as I spotted these.

UP SD70M #4789 leads a quartet of EMD units eastbound on MMCPR as they go under the set of fake C&NW searchlights at Nelson Interlocking. Just convenient enough for the sun to rise directly above the tracks.

Backlighting produces unexpected effects. This was taken in a clear and bright morning.

Giraffecycle Forum User "gregmcavity". This photo was taken with an umbrella to his right and a flash behind him (with a blue filter) pointed at a white wall. Good times!

Couldn't pass this one up when I saw the fuzz with backlighting :).

 

If I could do it over, I would have put the focus on the fuzz instead :)
