My Hexagonal Rose is finished :-D
I changed the closing of the base, now it's a little bit rounder and it looks more like the Kawasaki Rose.
I went to IKEA for some things and I saw these cheap led bars. I couldn't resist... I had a sudden idea, night lighting for planted tanks :) Think its cool.
pca262 WIT: I photographed my daughter Katy's hands as she practised. The afternoon light was lovely coming in through the coloured panes in the window. I also cleared some distracting background.
Playing with slow shutter speeds here to give the impression of speed and movement. I braced the camera against the side of the piano and used a wide angle lens.
In pp I desaturated Katy's skirt on the lower left.
I rarely use the spot metering pattern. However, when shooting stage performances and the subject is spot lit and standing in front of a dark background, I prefer the spot metering pattern.

This is the kind of pines that bear edible pine kernels. It's more than 100 years old -because of its heigt and because it's planted near an old house, and they must be about the same age. The clouds rumbled, but were just full of hot air.
The branches below belong to a prunus sown by my grandfather. There's a spring nearby and the rest of the trees are olives, so this is the landmark.
