I saw these "things" on the way home and stopped to take a quick shot of them. They wouldnt have been anything out of the ordinary, but the backlighting looked cool and caught my attention.

Taking backlights here was not easy, because the stones used to build the temple are very dark and the contrast with the setting sun was definitely huge.
The trick usually is taking at least 3 photos (one with the correct average exposure, one with the correct exposure for the structures and finally one with the correct exposure for the sun) and merge them together by software.
One day I should also tell you about removing the light-orbs, appearing when you take pics backlight... ;-)
I seemed to miss this one when I skimmed through the photos last night.
The photographer who I was filling in for lent me a 1D MkII which was pretty nifty. The menu system on it is a bloody nightmare though! He had a spare 1D lying around since he went out and bought a 1Ds MkIII (!!!) and a 50mm 1.2L the day before to accompany his already vast pro set up. He came to drop the camera off yesterday and we joked that his car was worth less than his newest camera. :)
This shot isn't as sharp as the other one, but seems to satisfy me a little more. :)
