Opening of the Legislative session in 2013, legislators were reminded by a rally where their allegiances and priorities should lie.

The Backbone Experience
As named by the Blackfeet Indians. Backbone Ridge is just inside the park (Glacier) right off of US hiway 2
The Blackfeet Nation called Glacier National Park the backbone of the world. One visit to this rugged park and you will understand why. Jagged peaks above 10,000 feet soar towards the sky, hundreds of glacier fed lakes burst with trout, meadows erupt with colorful medleys of wildflowers and Grizzlies and Wolves are king in Glacier. Combine all of that with the 700 miles of trails that weave through the park and you have an outdoors lover’s utopia that has inspired generations.
