L'Axe majeur est une œuvre monumentale située à Cergy, dans le département du Val-d'Oise, en France. L’œuvre s'inscrit dans une boucle de l'Oise, au centre de la ville nouvelle de Cergy-Pontoise. Elle est conçue par le sculpteur israélien Dani Karavan à partir de 1980. L'Axe est composé de douze stations sur une longueur de 3,2 kilomètres, incluant une tour penchée, un ensemble de douze colonnes, une passerelle, une île ou encore un rayon laser qui survole le parcours. Il débute dans le quartier auquel il a donné son nom, Axe Majeur - Horloge (anciennement Saint-Christophe) et s'achève à la limite avec Neuville-sur-Oise, après avoir survolé les étangs artificiels de Cergy-Neuville. The Axis is composed of twelve stations over a length of 3.2 kilometers, including a leaning tower, a set of twelve columns, a footbridge, an island or a laser beam that flies over the course. It begins in the area to which it gave its name, Axe Majeur - Clock (formerly Saint-Christophe) and ends at the limit with Neuville-sur-Oise, after flying over the artificial ponds of Cergy-Neuville. Symbol of the new city, it is also one of the important works of Dani Karavan, who accompanies its construction for more than thirty years.
There's something special about following a river past all the various ripples and waterfalls. The Neath valleys have some very special rivers, and so many falls that they all seem to blend into each other. There're few better ways to recharge the batteries than to stand below a waterfall in full flow. More Axe by Bob Marley and the Wailers, was the first track title i saw and liked this morning, and sort of describes the relentless force that waterfalls represent, as they rush down to join me at the sea.

Had no idea how to smuggle Legoes in the handmade theme, so here's a Lego-sized axe I've shown before.
Realized much too late that I could have used the words "die komplette Montagetechnik" to get the word Montag (Monday) in better view, but as it was a stormy, cloudy day, I had maybe a quarter of an hour to have any idea and shoot it with decent light.

SATO - Dark dreamy magic backdrop textures
I spent the whole day photographing an Osprey at Seaton on the River Axe, Devon and was rewarded when this juvenile bird hovered a few feet away while flying into a stiff southerly breeze, blowing straight up the river.
It is a juvenile bird and is still learning how to fish. Having caught a small fish around 9am it wasn't successful again to 5pm but it sure did put in numerous attempts throughout the day.
This was a amazing opportunity to photograph a wild Osprey in its natural environment. Such a pleasure to see, enjoy and in no way set up.
