Awesome bird (lifer)! This bird was spotted by Matt Sadowski before briefly disappearing and then being relocated in a different portion of the flock. We saw it three or so separate times after that, all in the span of about 10 minutes. It was hanging out with about 600 Black-vented Shearwaters, making it difficult to spot. However, once you got on the bird you knew that you had! Despite being superficially similar, Manx are surprisingly distinct from Black-vented. The contrast is far stronger on the face, they appear darker black, they have a white vent, a chinstrap, etc. Will link ebird checklist when it is shared with me.

Almost winter and they're putting on new growth! Next thing you know, they'll be blooming. And, they're deer proof.
Pretty awesome display of Red Kites feeding (well over a 3 - 5 hundred birds), especially seeing the ‘White Kite’!
Lots of ‘Argh’s’’, Ooh’s’, and ‘Wahoos’ from the onlookers.
Gigrin Farm, famous for its Red Kite Feeding, attracts visitors from around the world. Located half a mile from Rhayader, in Mid-Wales, hundreds of Red Kites feed here every day. It’s a breath-taking spectacle and is the best place in the UK to see and photograph 100s' of wild Red Kites (including rare leucistic Red Kites).

Bonus r
These are Dad's orchids which he loved but cared for very little, so they loved him even more. Still flowering nicely over a decade later, 4 beautiful blooms this year all slightly different in size and hue.
I have several plants from family and friends who have crossed to the other side. Their flowers are part of the legacy that keeps them alive in my memory. I'm so grateful they shared their gardens with me so they can carry on bringing joy to my little corner.
Oh and thanks nature!!
