The original! I was there when Jason photographed this postal receptacle almost three years ago, but I didn't discover (and he didn't remember) he had titled it thus until after I returned from my mailbox-laden walk across the US.

We were sitting at a traffic light when I spotted this mural. I didn't have the lens I needed on the camera and I was afraid the light was going to turn green. The result is a cropped snapshot so I could see the detail. I was particularly amazed at the artistic complexity of the mural. Why can't we have murals like this around my home town? Instead we get unwanted graffiti.
It took some time to research online where this mural was located. I had a round about memory of where I snapped the picture - generally I remember place quite well, but when it comes to pinpointing the location later on a map, the details are a little difficult to fish out of my head.
I finally was able to find the exact location through Microsoft's Bing Maps, due to its ability to view obliques of a location.
Why do people only put bumper stickers on beaters? I dream of a world where everyone has bumper stickers.

My best friend from college is spending the weekend with me while C is out of town. Ladies, I highly recommend a girls-only weekend with an old friend. I feel 10 years younger.
Anyway, Jen's birthday was earlier this week, so I gave her this awesome gocco print by Heather. A perfect gift for a fabulous friend. :-)
