Signs at an abandoned highway stop, Halloran Springs, CA, backlit by a bright moon. Vintage signs that some might still notice when driving between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. One person proposed beneath this sign. I love happy stories. She said yes. He purchased this print for their anniversary! This photo also appears in my first book "Abandoned Southern California: The Slowing of Time", a book of history and night photography. Illuminated by a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light and a full moon while the camera shutter was open.

The Okanagan is not a particularly lush region but the unusual amount of rain sure worked its magic. Everywhere I look I see scenes like this.
Fløyen is one of the city mountains in Bergen and one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. Fløyfjellet is the name of the mountain top. It is 399 masl. Looking over the Bergen city centre. The name could originate from “fløystangen” which means weather cook, that was set up to provide signals about the direction of the wind when ships were to set sail. The view of the Bergen peninsula makes fløyfjellet a popular attraction among tourists and city locals. It has a funicular system that transports passengers from the center of Bergen to a height of 320 meters in roughly 8 minutes and the highest point (425 meters) on Fløyfjellet is approximately 1 km to the northeast. The funicular is use by tourists and citizens all year-around.
One of the classic shots of lake Aalkistensee in the area of Kraichgau and Stromberg-Heuchelberg. While the lake was frozen, the light reflections were scattered by the structure of the ice. This photo is a stitched pano out of two shots and therefore is available in very high resolution. Think it would look awesome on a wall.

The first time I went there I wasn’t able to see the lighthouse due to the baltic weather and storm, this time however it was in full view for me to capture and even better with the colours of the sky and the soft waters.
Definitely worth the second trip.
