After an adventurous hike up the Hörschbach gorge on an unsurfaced nature trail, we arrived at the back Hörschbach falls. Actually there are two cascades, which one of them can be triggered by a slider to get more water from a reservoir, in case of low water. Thanks to Nicky for joining me at this trip. The Joshua Twins Star Trails (5477)

This is a star trails photo, showing the movement of the stars as created by the rotation of the earth over 30 minutes. I love how a single image can show movement over such a long time! I set my tripod-mounted camera to a long exposure, keeping the shutter open for a long time, which makes the camera much more sensitive to light than our eyes on this already bright evening. I illuminated the foreground with a hand-held ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight to bring out more depth. While I frequently hike into Joshua Tree NP for as much as a mile or more during the night, some of the most beautiful views are just off the side of the road.

I took this photo in Joshua Tree National Park, CA, hanging out with Dave Dasinger while doing so. JTNP is my spiritual home for night photography, and it felt utterly fantastic to return here to photograph here at night and hike during the day.

Norwegian Landscapes

Icefields Parkway Highway, Jasper National Park

The old medium frequency radio broadcast station built in 1950, decommissioned in 2012 [1], as a silhouette in front of an impressive colorful sunset. Placed in the heart of Europe, this station is able to reach every point between Barcelona and Warschow. Despite being potentially pretty useful in an emergency situation, the station may be deconstructed due to high costs, soon.

View over Lungern Lake and stunning village in Switzerland.

Shows the radio broadcast station "Sender Mühlacker" operated by Südwestrundfunk (SWR). The 273 meter antenna was used for MW and UKW transmissions but has been shut down. The 93 m tower is used for directional radio and is prepared for DAB+ at the time [1].

I love this composition that i find in Norway!!

Here I tried to build a strong foreground with the repeating patterns of the grass covered in hoarfrost. The view leads down the valley to the town Niefern. In the center you can see the tower of the small castle Niefernburg, originally built around 1185.
