AFGE young workers and union activists participate in a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes community awareness event. The event was geared toward raising awareness about rape, sexual assault and gender violence.
There was a car stopped right in front of this, it looked like they'd stopped for spotted a bear crossing and stopped to photo it. Nobody moved for a while, it becoming apparent that the bear was a fake (the bird droppings on the top were another clue).
When they left, I, in the grand tradition of taking a picture of whatever you see somebody else taking a picture of lest you miss a good one, took a picture.
And posted it.
Be bear aware.

The Department of Allied Health Sciences came up with the idea of Science Awareness Program, an exhibition cum project-based teaching event for young school students. This was followed by the Medical College students demonstrating experiments on concepts like Capillary rise, mechanism of lung, Bernoulli’s principle, refraction of light, mini robot to list a few.

My first mammogram,
and I wanted to share my experience.
I was working myself up slowly that it was going to hurt. But it was just a little smooshing, squooshing and a little pressure. It was not a big deal.
A little freaky at first, but the woman I had was calm, nice and casual, which I am sure makes all the difference in the world. I think the overall trick is just try to be realxed :)
But it is VERY important to get them done at that certain age and then regularily. If something is there then it is better to be caught early on and is more treatable early, from what I understand.
So don't forget to get your mammograms girls!
