So, it's the last photoshoot of my dolls I made on Sardinia ! I have five other (not taken on holiday) waiting but I felt like this one has been in the queue for way too long and after two months i just can't pretend anymore lol.
Anyway, Avery is wearing a supermegacool hat I bought in a supermegacool lavender-themed shop in Sirmione (also during vacation). I really could spend eternity in this one, everyting was so pretty and smelled so prettily and allllll... while looking through the shelves I found this cute hat that had a lavender bag inside. I think you put it in your closet to make the clothes smell nice but I'm not sure... Anyway, removed the bag and now Avery has her kind-of-private hat ! Does't she look gorgeous ? ;)
It's Just a quick upload, I'm in rush, so I'll just tell you all the news I managed to write on my blog next time :)

For the first time in, like, months, I'm not uploading something after a three week break! I hope to add more pictures now that the weather is better and school has kind of slowed down.

This picture was kind of risky to shoot, because the forsythia you can see in the background is in my neighbours garden, and since my idea for the photo included Avery sitting on the top of the fence I had to take it while standing on a stool >.< It was especially hard because there was a strong wind... I'm glad I chose Avery for this photoshoot, because her hair doesn't tangle so much.
Have a nice friday, everyone!

Here's a shot from my last shoot with Forget Tomorrow . Avery is one of their vocalists. We found this awesome spot while trotting around Mystic seaport and everything about this location absolutely rocked.
Dudes are fun to hang out with, had such a great time. We also got to hit up the Famous Mystic Pizza and a sweet ice cream and fudge shop after the shoot.
I'll be posting up the entire band image soon!

Avery Point Light or Avery Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Groton, Connecticut, United States, on the Avery Point Campus of the University of Connecticut. Although construction was completed in March 1943, the lighthouse was not lit until May 1944 due to concerns of possible enemy invasion. Its original light consisted of eight 200-watt bulbs that were later replaced by a flashing green light in 1960. It was deactivated on June 25, 1967, when the United States Coast Guard Training Station moved to Governors Island. It is officially listed as the last lighthouse built in the state; the only other claimant is the replica Mystic Seaport Light.
The lighthouse deteriorated until it was declared a hazard by the University of Connecticut in 1997. A restoration effort was launched in 1999 through the American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF) and in 2000 by a new local chapter, the Avery Point Lighthouse Society. The restoration of the lighthouse began in 2001 and was completed in 2006, requiring a replica lantern and extensive structural repairs and replacement of the crumbling of the blocks. Two bills for $150,000 and $100,000 were appropriated and used to complete the restoration. The relighting and re-dedication of the lighthouse was held on October 15, 2006. The lighthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
The Avery Point Light was designed by Alfred Hopkins and Associates to be a 41-foot (12 m) octagonal tower. Construction of the tower was completed in March 1943; it is built of brown concrete blocks and topped with an octagonal wooden lantern. During the restoration effort, it was discovered that six different types of concrete blocks were used in the construction. The tower has a total of five windows, with two facing south and one for the north, east and west. The lantern gallery deck is constructed of concrete and lined with thirty two Italian marble balusters, originally imported from Italy around 1900. The interior has an iron ladder, originally wooden, that leads up to the watchroom level. The lighthouse design and masonry tower have Colonial Revival elements. It is the last lighthouse built in the state of Connecticut as an official navigational aid.
I feel so bad.. I haven't taken a picture of this little beauty in almost 7 months. I can really see how some dolls get left out u_u naw imma meanie..
I don't even think I used her new signature that I made a months ago as well :O
I got Avery a new wig, her crimped one was lovely and had a nice volume, but it annoyed me.

Turns out Avery is talented with all kinds of art. She took clay and formed it into a fox and is now painting it.
So I have been watching Aaron's Photoshop class videos and I created this image just by watching his sample video on the class website. He is an amazing teacher :) I barely knew anything about Photoshop until I met Aaron. Now look what I can do! I want to learn more and more! Maybe once I graduate in May, I will attempt the 365 project...

We took this photo over the holidays when we were blessed with snow!
This is a behind the scenes photo... We are working on a more conceptual photo with this "snow queen".

This past week I got a new Opteka SB-1 Soft Box for my Nikon SB-400 Speedlight, which was extremely cheap, and i was dying to test it out to see how well it worked... or if it even worked at all.
This was my favorite picture from the shoot that i used it on, and i will definitely be using that soft box a lot more in the future. I was hesitant to buy it for so cheap, thinking it wouldn't be of any use, but it was totally worth the $10 to me.
