Harry Avery Castle Newtownstewart.

Thought to have been built around 1320 by a local chieftain of the O’Neill clan, but named after Harry Avery (Henry Aimbreidh) O’Neill, a local chief who died in 1392, this structure is considered unusual in that Irish chieftains of the time rarely built stone castles.

Avery drew this one on the ceiling. It was more difficult for her and also made her stiff and sore.

First train of the last day of vacation, a short work train at Avery.

I visited Avery Creek Falls today. I didn't think I'd be going as the forecast was for sunny skies and winds of 5-10mph. But luckily when I got up early it was cloudy and perfectly still. When I got there after a 40 min drive, the conditions were the same, i.e., perfect. That doesn't happen very often.

Since 2018, the last time I visited, there must have been some bad flooding as just behind me there was a huge pile of large trees all over the creek several feet high. Thank goodness the falls looked great. I'll have to put this on my fall shooting list.

The falls are located in the Pisgah National Forest in western North Carolina. The hike is only 1/2 mile long and relatively easy. You will have to cross a stream and manage some slippery rocks. Yesterday in low water is was almost knee high. The tricky part is getting down to the base of the falls.

Kind of shocked how well the wonder twin parts work for her. Wanted to beat everyone to the punch. Introduced in flash rebirth, but has moved into the new super-man/justice league of China title. Avery was best known for its farm implements and tractors, but they also built farm trucks. This Avery truck was built in the Peoria, IL Avery manufacturing plant. My guess is that this is a 1921 model. I photographed it on September 11 at the Gilmore Car Museum truck show in Hickory Corners, MI.
