In temperate climates, avacados grow year-round. So if you're lucky enough to have one of these trees in your yard, you never need to visit the grocer for your guacamole and club sandwich avocados. Just grab, carve, slice, and chop.
Some prefer to use a ladder and/or avocado hook to retrieve their fruit, but I find a step on the handicapped bar in the bathtub will do the trick.
On the left the 2 starters. I had the bottom one, Avacado and Prawns. I didn't think I liked Avacado but it was OK.
Next was soup or the thingy in the top middle which was Mushroom Mousse and was delish!
Then the main course was Turkey or Salmon, which I had, and of course there were vegetables.
The dessert was Christmas Pudding which I have never liked or the fabuloso Choccy thing bottom right, which I could have eaten even more of although I had consumed more than I eat in one day already!
This was followed by coffee and 'Festive Frivolities' which are in the next pic.
It was all very good except for the sprouts which were rock hard. Not at all bad for £16.50.

I did eat more of this while cleaning up, the pattie, the burger, the bacon. but this was the point where my spirit broke.

When mom gives you avacado.....make guacamole and smear it on your face!
Believe it or not, some of it DID actally make it into his mouth. It tends to dry and turn brown pretty fast. You should've seen the bath water afterwards!
Ingredients
1 lb. bay scallops, diced (sushi grade)
1 c. fresh lime juice (8-10 limes) + 4 tbs.
2 large tomatoes, diced
1 avocado (pitted, peeled, diced)
2 small red onions, minced
2 garlic cloves
4 tbs. cilantro
Salt & pepper to taste
Serves 6 – 8
Toss diced scallops with one cup fresh lime juice in a medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate for two hours, until scallops become opaque. Once opaque, drain and combine with tomatoes, avocado, onion, garlic, cilantro and additional lime juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill and serve. Refrigerate up to three days.
Geoff and I painted this room for friends of mine who were having a baby and decided not to find out if it was a boy or girl.
Knowing they were in a small condo in the city and that they would not stay in the small space for a long time, I designed the room so anyone moving in could turn the space into any type of room.

I got these cute littel dishes at the Dollar Store some time ago. I didn't expect them to hold up very well, but I loved the color. I have used them over, and over again, with no problems. I've even used them in the oven (I really expected them to explode, but they didn't).
Tonight we had Taco's, and they worked great for all the toppings.
Tomorrw - I think I need to make another trip and see if they have any more.
The lime watermellon avacado and the apprles were all part of a photo set the depectied green fruits.
